    Good sort of books. The building itself need TLC. Its needs new paintwork & the pathway needs renewing. Alot of dogs & their owners go past it seems they want to come inside. There is not many dog friendly shops along Jetty Rd Glenelg. If they had enough space they should have another Reading Room that allows dogs inside.

    Very quietly and politely asked a member of staff at Dymocks, Glenelg, who I could talk to about summer vacation work. I can only presume the manager overheard and proceeded to explain at the top of his voice how he was happy with his staff and had no intention of hiring. HIs answer was impolite and and insensitive. I was personally humiliated and furious at his lack of tact. My daughter, 14yo, adores books and I was asking for her as she would have loved the experience. She heard his abrupt response from the other side of the shop.

    It's a bookshop. I can buy your books cheaper on line or free from a library. The ONLY USP you have is service. Grow up! Your staff behaved better than you.

    I know it's hard to cater to all tastes in a bookstore, so if you are looking for a general mainstream read then you'll be very happy here, but no weird and wonderful finds. Plus you may like all the notebooks and gift options, or not.
